2015 1st place at the MADI Biennial: Origins in Geometry! (zie link)

At the Opening Reception on July 10, which was attended by more than 200 people, New York author and art critic Eleanor Heartney awarded the $1500 first prize to Elvira Daeter of the Netherlands. Ms. Heartney cited Ms. Daeter’s art as a continuation of the work pioneered by Mondrian. Second place went to Conan Chadbourne who is currently in Peru, and the third  to Selena Dixon of Dallas. The exhibit will continue in Dallas until October 4, 2015. Ms. Daeter’s “Movement 1″ is now part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Geometric Art in Dallas.

Elvira Daeter was Born 1947 in Eindhoven (the netherlands), Dutch fulltime painter/sculptor lives and works in Middelburg (the netherlands). While studying history of art and sculpting she was influenced by Piet Mondriaan and Michel Seufor. In 2013 she experimented with new different lines and forms in the lines and in 2015 she started to use color combinations on MDF. This is a very complicated process she now masters. Aesthetic emotion and purity in art are unique and indefinable. It can only be felt or recognized by the observer. She exhibitis her work in Europe and the USA.
